I can't believe my good fortune.  I've just found a copy of Ed Ruscha's
"26 Gasoline Stations" at my local recycling center!  It's the original
1963 publication, #349 of an edition of 400 from Cunningham Press.  Can
anyone tell me if this was Ruscha's first book, or where it is in his
bibliography?  How about its value?  It would make a difference if it's
worth $25-$50 or $100-$500--whether I should let my 5-year-old son look at

It seems it is his first book...my source is a small book (bibliography) that
accompanied an exhibition of prints, drawings, and books by Eward Ruscha at the
Minneapolis Institute of Arts, April 18-May 28, 1972.

I haven't a clue to its value. A second edition of 500 copies was produced in
1967 and a third edition of 3000 was produced in 1969.
