Anyone else having trouble with Perfect Image?

I ordered a couple of wax boxes over the phone from Perfect Image out of Philly
using my credit card a couple of weeks ago and they never arrived. When I
called a few days ago to see whether they shipped, the woman who answered the
phone said she couldn't tell me anything but would"call me tomorrow". When she
didn't call the next day, I called her back and she told me "the warehouse is
in a meeting" and she would call back. When she still didn't return my call, I
called again and was told "the warehouse doesn't answer" and that she would
call me the next day. I really just want the cards. Is this typical for them or
are they in some kind of trouble? I've never dealt with them before but I
certainly haven't had this kind of experience with other large dealers before.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! - Tom

Hi,
        I've dealt with them before on one occasion and had no problems
(although that was a couple years ago).  Does seem kind of odd that your
stuff hasn't arrived yet and they are giving you no answers.  Hope things
work out.

I've dealt with them before, and didn't have any problems.  I've only
ordered from there once though.

Did you order over the phone or email/website?

I've made three orders from them over the last year or so.  They have great
prices but they do lack in the speed department.  When you call, the
standard answer is that they'll check with the warehouse and call you the
next day, which never happens.  I've always gotten what I ordered, but it
has taken about three weeks each time.  I paid with a check each time, so I
figured it was them waiting for it to clear, plus I was ordering stuff that
had just come out.  Just be patient for another week or so, is my
suggestion.  Then bug them daily.

Thanks, that's helpful. When I got home tonight, there was a message on my
answering machine stating they had just shipped the product and it would arrive
in a few days. I feel a little better but two and a half weeks to ship a credit
card phone order isn't exactly great customer service.

I've had a very similar problem with these guys. Placed an order for
several boxes through their web site on April 27. Received email
confirmation and card charged immediately. Then.... nothing. Sent first
email asking about the order on May 9, another on May 13. Finally
called. Got the same "gotta check with the warehouse" routine. The woman
*did* call back the next day and said the order was shipping "today."
What a coincidence.

Anyhow, when the box finally arrived (May 18 or 19), it was short two
items, which were "backordered." Then several more weeks of radio
silence from these guys. Plus no one answering the phone.

Finally heard again from "Rocco" last Friday (June 12) that the rest of
the order was shipping (well, almost the rest; they never could produce
one of the boxes).

Supposedly, I'll get the order tomorrow (June 15). Won't hold my breath.
But, geez, that's seven weeks by my reckoning. Unacceptable customer
service. And an absolutely *stupid* way to greet a new customer. All
anyone wants is information. If there's a delay in shipping, fine--just
tell me, for god's sake.

I will never deal with these folks again.
