Topps Chrome Basketball Question... Blank Card???

Topps Chrome Basketball Question... Blank Card???

OK, in the 5th box I opened (Ooh... that sounds expensive) I pulled out a
blank card.  White back, chrome front, with 5 lines across it.  Is this an
error or something special?

Mail it back to Topps and beg for a Duncan Refractor?

You've got an error card resulting from a mistake in the production run.
When the converter (the machine used to cut press sheets into cards) clamps
down on the stack of press sheets, pressure is exerted. Blank cards are
placed on top of these stacks to avoid deep welts in the cards. These blank
sheets (called "buffer sheets") should then be removed from the stacks. At
times, they aren't. The diagonal slashes, probally made using a pen marker,
indicates that the card was meant to be destroyed. I'm not sure about
Topps, but Skybox replaces the blank card with a new pack of the same
product if you can give proof of purchase and send the blank card along
with a note telling the name of the product you received the card in. Hope
this helps.

Sounds like a messed-up Duncan refractor to me!
