Che Guevara signature on Cuban banknotes

A month or so ago someone was asking about his signature on Cuban
banknotes.
I found this interesting information in a book on his life:  "During his
first few
months in office in a challenge to the most sacred symbol of capitalism,
Che had the nerve to sign the new bills with his nickname.  Written in a
childish hand, his tiny signature stood out on the bottom of the
banknotes, almost like a heiroglyph.  Political opponents though the
symbol had been derived from a cross, and must therefore represent a
homonym of Kruschev, and an allusion to the Sovietization of the
government".
