Oshogatsu Head Mold?

Has the head mold used on the Oshagatsu Barbie been
used on other Barbies? My resident expert doesn't seem
to recognize it.

I beleive the Head Mold on the Oshugatsu is the Steffie face mold.  Look
at a BillyBoy Feelin' Groovy  for comparison.

I have a Summit, and on the back of the box is a picture of all 4
Barbies. She looks like the Hispanic to me, just different make-up. She
also looks like other Whitneys. Take a look and see what you think?

It's the Steffie mold, first used in 1972 and extensively thereafter.
Used for Western Stampin' Tara Lynn, Feeling Groovy Barbie and many
others, to name a few.  Amazing what different looks they can get from
*** painting...BArry

It's just the Steffie mold with a new paint job.

Oshogatsu Head Mold?

Hi John,
For me it looks like the Steffie Face mold from 1972 but I'm mot sure. I
haven't deboxed her yet so I can't see if it's mark 1971 behind her
head. If it's this mold it was used on many dolls. It was first used on
six friends of Barbie in 1972. The first Barbie to used this mold is
from 1975. This mold has been use on about 68 Barbie and family dolls.
Here's the list of the ones I know for sure who have this mold:

1972 #1186 Talking Busy Steffie
     #1183 Walk Lively Steffie
     #1187 Malibu P.J.
     #3200 Walk Lively Miss America
     #3194-9991 Miss America
     #3312 Busy Steffie

1974 #7808 Yellowstone Kelley
1975       Hawaiian Barbie (First Barbie to use this mold)
1975 #7283 Free Moving Cara
1980 #1292 Hispanic Barbie
1982 #7745 Sunsational Christie
1983 #5869 Dream Date P.J.
1983 #4103 Tracy
1984       Irish Barbie
1987       Feeling Groovy Barbie
1988       Nurse Whitney
1988       California Midge
1990 #9353 All Strar Teresa
1993 #10295 Western Stampin'Tara Lynn

It eader that or the Kissing Face Mold from 1979, used only on the #2597
Kissing Barbie. If it's this mold it should be write behind her head
1978. But I don't really think they would have used this mold since it
was only used on the Kissing dolls.
Maybe someone could tell us if it's really one of these mold used on the
Oshogatsu.
