Hi,
I am a new Barbie collector and I saw on Barbie's web site a doll called
Antique Rose.  It is not on the site anymore and isn't available through
the 800 number.  :(   Can you help me? I have checked around and one
other person is willing to sell her but she wants $250 for her.  Any
help or advice would be great.  Thanks!!

Amber

Hi,
Antique Rose was a limited edition of 10000 dolls, was an exclusive through FAO
Schwartz toy stores and the first in a series.  Her issue price was $250 (plus
tax).  Mine cost me $265.  You might be able to find her elsewhere, but it
could take a lot of hunting!  You might check the Home Shopping Network (or
other tv shopping shows) and ask if they have her.
If not, then be comforted that $250 is a fair price.   Carol
