So, what else is new? We learn another New Jersey Democratic politician is
facing the prospect of being deemed a multi-million dollar swindler. Break
out the crying towels, cue the violins.
Former Gov. Jon Corzine joins the never-ending list of disgraced New
Jersey Democrats, but not without the sympathetic support of the news
Why is he only called to testify (before a U.S. House committee) about the
missing billions of dollars from MF Global, the trading firm he headed?
Isnt one normally indicted in such cases? He must be calling in all the
political favors he is owed in order to duck responsibility for his
So, the man with a face for radio joins the continuously growing roster of
Democrats who seem to feel no law applies to them. They only pass laws
that apply to others.
We have, among these distinguished people, state Senate President Stephen
Sweeney publicly threatening to do bodily harm to the current governor.
Then there is former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who resigned office in disgrace,
only to become a part-time teacher of ethics at Kean University. It is
nearly impossible to stifle laughter over this outcome.
The group is also represented by such notables as Robert Torricelli, who
quit his U.S. Senate re-election campaign because of corruption
allegations; former state Sen. Wayne R. Bryant, convicted of *** and
fraud, and now facing new indictments; and the late U.S. Sen. Harrison
Williams Jr., convicted in 1981 of ***, ***, and interstate
travel to aid racketeering. Space limitations prevent additional listings.
My, what a marvelous group of mug shots this bunch must make.
One wonders why the buffoons of this state keep voting in such people of
questionable character. Oh, right, they run with millions of dollars and
full-fledged, unyielding support from the New Jersey Education Association
and other public employees unions. When such people of such paramount
virtue have been elected, the unions come calling for their paybacks in
the form of taxpayer-funded salaries and health and retirement benefits.
It is like, Open your checkbook, taxpayers. We won, and here we come
