FS 8"Chuck

FS 8"Chuck

I have the old domestic Cushman Chuck (Logo Stamped) from Hartford Conn.
It's an 8" 4 Jaw independent. It uses a 3/8 square key. The back is
missing, and was
held on by  four 7/16 by 3-1/4" SHCS. This beast is massive, weighing in
at 30#
even without the back plate, which is too heavy for my 6" Atlas even if
I could clear
it by making it into a gap bed. This is a true independent. There is no
scroll.
The overall depth is 4-1/4 with the body itself being 3" thick. It
was a gift from a
well-meaning friend. The ways for the jaws are very good and the threads
in each
jaw are almost unworn.
I have no idea of its value. Will wait for a week's solid quotes and
go from there.
