Wow, my sister let me play with her Janome 8000!  It was fun while it
lasted!

But I am a strip piecer, and chain triangler!  This machine is not well
suited to a quilters piecing needs, or maybe I need more practice on
it?!

I think I like my 25 year old Viking that does straight, zigzag, and a
few fancys using "cams"  The Janome is great tho for embroidery.  I am
making crazy blocks for my sister and she is embroidering them with her
new fangled machine.   I guess she will let me play with it next time I
visit....

It does take practice to get the full benefit from Janome 8000 and
9000.  I had the 8000 for three years (it may have been two) and when
the 9000 came out I was right there to make the trade.  I love piecing
with the Janome and all those conveniences get easier and easier to
use.  I have had my wonderful Singers (3) folded up for a long time.  I
still use my Serger, a Nelco, especially around the holidays.  It's
best to be satisfied with what you have.

Happy quilting,
Rhoda

Rhoda, send those unused old Singers to *me* and I will love them dearly.
