I added 2 new pictures of a quilt I made. It was presented at work today.
Chris Fesmire lost both legs in Iraq in October. The faculty and staff each
signed signature blocks. His wife, Willow, will be taking the quilt back to
Walter Reed MC with her tomorrow.

What a wonderful quilt Debbi!  I love the signature blocks around the
border.  It will be treasured forever.

I'm sure he will be deeply touched by the love shown in the quilt.

What a great quilt. The way the siggy blocks are around the outside is
neat.  Does his wife work with you?

Debbi, I just loved your hug for Chris F quilt!  It gives me inspiration to
do the queen size quilt of the USA flag my youngest son has requested for
his high school graduation gift, thank you, Kimela

Yes, she is a teacher at the middle school where I work as a campus

Wow Debbi, What a beautiful job you did.  I am pleased to see the Marine
Insignia.  (VBG)  The Hug quilt I made for my DD's co-worker gave me such
warm feelings.  I hope he is recovering quickly.   Hugs,  Linda

That is a wonderful quilt Debbi. I like the gold trim
... reminiscent of fringe on flags.
My guild will be making quilts for injured personnel in
Walter Reed Army Medical Center. That will be our 2005
Special Project. It will take a while for the first
ones to be delivered. If Chris Fesmire is still there,
maybe he will get one of ours too. I wish him well with
his PT and OT.

Let me know when you start delivering and I will let you know if Chris is
still there. His wife thinks he will be released sometime before March.

poor guy. great thing to do for him, it truly looks like an american
flag. when I hear about the dead in the war it breaks my heart, like
these last 20 from the lunch tent incident, seems a lot of them where
from Fort Lewis, close to us. and I know it really doesn't matter WHEN
it happens, but 3 days before xmas sounds so horrible!

but when i see the pictures of the maimed and wounded, that is almost
harder to grasp...
