This is a copy of a posting I made on the QuiltNet mailing list,
following a posting made by a Kentucky quilter in the flooded area,
concerning quilters who lost fabrics and notions in the recent floods.
She is coordinating on her end, to find a place to receive any
donations.
For all those other Ithaca, NY area quilters, or anyone in the central
NY area, if you have a bit of fabric or some notions you would like to
donate to flood victims/quilters in the midwest, I would be happy to
provide a central drop-off point for them. They could then be
boxed/wrapped/whatever and shipped UPS when the time comes. We could
all donate a few dollars toward the shipping cost, and I will take
care of contacting UPS for pickup.
If this sounds like a good idea to any of my local area quilters,
please email me privately and we'll coordinate your dropoff of your
donation.
TIA---
