Need good prayers

Post by Joann » Sat, 22 Aug 2009 03:39:53

I'm due sept 4 with this surrogate baby but I don't think he's going to
wait. Which is ok I'm far enough along and everyone is healthy. However
I would really like some prayers for a normal delivery and quick
recovery. I'm worried about baby coming too fast because this is baby #8
and that my thyroid will crash afterwards. Leaving me struggling just to
cope with the basics in life till it straightens out.
Thanx for reading if you got this far.
I'll post after the event. Everyone is on stand by on pins and needles
right now.
Take Care

Need good prayers

Have you considered getting together basic birth supplies for home and
in the car? It might reassure you a bit if you know you have something
to wrap the baby in and to catch the placenta!

My first was very fast and the possibility of scheduling an induction to
avoid an unplanned out of hospital birth was mentioned, I wasn't
interested as I was hoping for a homebirth, unfortunately I ended up
being admitted to hospital and went into labour on the antenatal ward
and was in transition by the time I got upstairs to the delivery unit
and that transfer was bad enough, so I do understand you concerns.

Cheers
Anne

Oh, I'm ready bags are packed and sitting by the door. Parents are
ready, car seat in their van and baby's diaper bag is packed. Ya I worry
I won't make it to hospital but if that happens I really don't have any
say in it what so ever. So the plan is when the first pain hits I'll all
ready be half way out the door.

I wasn't really anxious until all the signs appeared and then nothing.
Baby has dropped, I've lost 6lbs, *** pressure went lower, pressure in
the hips, cervix is at 3cm, everything I eat goes through me and I've
lost part of the mucous plug. So I know it's anytime, but anytime could
be between now and the next couple of weeks. Baby will decide.

Thanx to everyone for the well wishes and prayers. I really appreciate them.
Take Care
Joanna

What a wonderful gift you are giving to the baby and the parents. Oh my, how
wonderful. There is next, of course, the thyroid concern.  Have you
discussed and made plans for that possibility with your doctor?  To our
total bafflement and astonishment and so on, we are astounded at the
ignorance of doctors with thyroid swings and crashes.  I'd be tempted to
take a black Marx-a-lot and write on my big belly:  Check thyroid!   Bless
you.  Holding you close, Polly
