Ummmm I was too lazy.  Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Who is getting ready to cut out fabric to make 34 colorguard flags for my
daughters group.  What have I gotten myself into?

You're getting an early start on the Fall show then, aren't you?  Good for
you!

They need to have some more practice flags.  There are going to be 34 girls
with flags this year.  My daughter won't be one of them this time around.
She had a problem with her elbow dislocating last year that prevented her
from being in guard but they did find a spot for her in the actual marching
band. She had surgery on that elbow 7 weeks ago and is just now starting
physical therapy but she won't be twirling any flags this year either.  She
is going to be a dancer in the show.

I forgot to ask your DD today if you are making a set of flags for her
band.  Guess I'll have to inquire Saturday when we go back for the end
of music camp concert!

Oh GEEZ I hope not!!!!  That just does NOT sound like a good time to me!
Oh, my excuse is that I'll be moving her big brother off to grad school in
NY and getting his (our) little house fixed up for her to live in.  I'm
getting the hardwood floors in the living room, dining area, hallway and two
bedrooms refinished.  I'm not doing them, I just found someone to work on
them. (I'm not Larissa!)  They should look great when finished.  Somehow I
think (hope?) she will take better care of them than he would have.

Hey, nobody says you have to be me...remember, I'm the one that is the
human form of the Energizer bunny...just going and going and going.  I
finally got to work on the BOMs that were backlogging in my room - May's
pieced is done (applique was already done), PP for May is almost done,
then I get to start on Junes!!

DH told me this morning NOT to worry about the children, close my sewing
room door and do whatever needed to get done.

I finished DDs fleece coat for the fall, started on the coiled fabric
rug, finished 1 block, started a second block, sorted through things to
get worked on......no home repairs/improvement things to be done for a
while....have to get things gathered together for DDs room repaint - I
can't stand the blue that the previous owners used in the 2 kids
bedrooms, and DD *loves* purple and pink, so......might actually tie in
some of the leftover paint from the upstairs bathroom - the one that got
transformed into a tropical island :-)
