Day & Night quilt found it′s home ( Happy dance :-)

Post by Annika Bjur » Sat, 04 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Yesterday I put the last stitches in the "Day&Night" quilt and gave it to
its new owner. It is a yellow and gold sawtooth star quilt on blue
background ( mostly Debbie Mumm blues ) with a narrow dark blue inner
border, a sawtooth border and a dark blue wide outer border. I used a gold
for the binding, not the most practical color, but it looked best. The back
is a Debbie Mumm fabric that has golden suns on a blue and tan stripe.
The name  Day & Night came to me because the back suggested day ( sun up )
and the front is the night ( all those stars on the blue background, the
outer border also features a print with tiny stars on blue ). I also at one
point worked on it day&night and I hope it  will get used both day&night.
The new owner is a baby girl that didnt have much to say about it but she
did drool happily on it !
The parents were so happy and that really made my day. I love giving away
quilts to people that hadnt expected one but immediately recognizes the
time and effort youve spent.
Time for chocolate and a new project !!!

Yeeehaaaa!  Well done.  I'm here "downunder" doing a dance for you right now!
Now don't drop any chocolate onto the next quilt!  <BG>  I think you'd better
just pass it over to me, and I'll look after it for you.  Now, just what type
of chocolate do you eat in Sweden????  And don't just say Swedish.  <LOL> Give
us a run down on it, if you will!! <VBG>

Congrats again, and it sounds stunning.  Any pictures??

John

Doin' the two-step Happy Dance for your "Day and Night" quilt in the
First State, Annika!  It sounds lovely.  Like something I might do one
day ;-)
