Happy Dance -- quilt found

Post by LN » Tue, 01 Oct 2002 04:50:22

Part of the reason for my quilt slump was, my dd lost her quilt
last month! I was so upset because I just loved that quilt. Love
the colors and spent a lot of time on it. It is only tied right
now and I was planning to quilt it and put it in our quilt show
this spring. So I had slipped into a quilt depression.

She couldn't find it anywhere. I said, "But unless you took it to
Jenn's house for an overnight, it has to be here some place!" I
searched her room and closet, 2x! Couldn't find it.  I even pulled
stuff out and looked under stuff.

YIPPEE DOO! She found it in her closet yesterday. Tells you what
her closet must be like, huh?

Happy dancing in the corn fields for you, DD and the wandering quilt that's
come home!
Now that the slump is gone, what will you be working on?

LN,

Just checked your site out, haven't been there in a while and I see you've
updated it.......looks great!   I see your begging must pay off, love the
prezzies page, with a spot reserved for others...how nice (you've really got
to teach me how to beg)!  Your quilts look great and the kids are certainly
cute.  Love your daughters quilt, I can see why you would have been very
upset... so glad it was found.

Yahoo!!!!!    I know how much you have agonized over this.   Does this mean
that DD gets to live now?!?!?!?  And will she be allowed to keep that
beautiful quilt?

Thank you, Lorraine. I do love her quilt - and who knows.. I may
steal it some day. :)  I'm usually very timid about choosing
colors (unless they are for someone else's quilt. LOL) so I do
love how they pop in this one.

Piggy backing cuz I didn't get Diana's post (have not gotten all
the posts for the last couple of months. Don't know why).

Yes, Diana... I'm hand quilting the quilt I started for Elaine. I
am on the border. I'll have to do some more re-marking, but we're
getting there!

and Elaine, she gets to live one more day. Who knows what tomorrow
will bring tho. ;)

I'm positive that little gremlins come out when we aren't looking and
shuffle our stuff around.  At least that's what happens at my house.  Glad
you found it and I'll bet Chelsea's glad too.

Woohoo, LN! What a relief that must have been. :) But I have to admit
that, when I saw the subject line before I read the message, I thought
you meant you'd found a quilt on your doorstep -- one someone had sent
to you. <g>

Well, it wasn't Spike this time! She and Giles have been in NZ for the
wedding, and now they're on their way to PIQF.

Gee, I'm starting to miss those kids. They never write. They never call.

Oh sure. It's always, "Not MY kids!" Do you have any proof that
they are in NZ? I doubt it. I did hear some giggling about 30 min
before C found her quilt.

Glad you found it! But don't blame the poor child. It's obvious that your
nisse borrowed it. You need to make a little quilt for the nisse (doesn't
need to be large, they're only about 2 feet tall), and fewer things will go
missing in your house.

Howdy!
Further proof of truth in that New Twilight Zone episode
where the man & woman got up too early and were
"ahead of time"; things have to have time to get to the
place you know you left them; they were there a moment
ago, they'll be there in another moment, but you're between
the moments so you're "ahead of time", see? <g>
Most things do show up, in time.
Glad she found the quilt.
