OT: Trump 'reality' not 'realty'

I have just been reading through my TV guide for next week and an item
caught my eye -- "Donald Trump and Survivor creator, Mark Burnett, have
teamed up for a new reality series on NBC.

'The Apprentice' will feature 20 contestants competing for the ultimate
job:  a six-figure salary as Trump's assistant.

The only reality series which held my interest for more than several
minutes was the 1930's house series from UK which aired on PBS a while
back.

After hearing about some of the Survivor menus, etc. - what do you
suppose these 20 contestants might be requested, dared, ordered, etc. to
do to curry favour for the next round..

It could be interesting if it becomes more of a mind game!

I don't like reality TV. give me the canned laughs and hyperscripted
shows.... I think we watch TV and read and go to movies for stories that
are different from our lives. I find no joy in seeing other normal
people going about their lives or doing stupid things, I want emotion,
romance, e***ment, etc... give me STORIES!

I like West Wing the best, but also watch some of the Law and Order
series, and if I am home will watch Frasier, Will and Grace, Scrubs, etc.

I agree with you on West Wing and Law & Order - add to that CSI  -  and
the spin-offs to those two series.  I have not missed an episode of Law
& Order since it began years ago and is probably the only show worthy of
re-runs!
Any TV which I watch is taped - I just don't sit and watch commercial TV
anymore - I also tape commercial-free TV programs for later viewing
because that is my preference.  When I want to relax, then I'll pick one
of my sewing/quilting videos (over 100 now1) and sit back and start
watching.
