Hi,

One of my friends is looking for a recommendation
on a good quilt cruise. What are your experiences?
She is looking for something  more advanced
than "Make your first quilt".  Please post
or email.

TIA,
Rosemary in Richardson, TX

I finally made it to SCQS a couple of weeks ago and the owners were telling
me about it.   Their page has lots of info about the cruise.  Sounds
wonderful.  Also wish I could go but it's about number 2749 on my to-do and
want-to-do list!  BTW - their shop is great; not as big as Keepsake but
beautiful material, FQs (much, much more than Keepsake); it was such a nice
drive up there and so much great stuff to ***!

Also, check out #QuiltChat - my favorite online Quilt Guild. They are moving
their site, but this is the current link
http://209.201.3.224/chat/cruise.html
If you have the time, poke around a little at their site, there are lots of
neat goodies, even for non-members.

I haven't taking any quilt cruises, but have spoken to a few ladies who have
taken a cruise with Doreen Speckman. It was the one up to Alaska and their
show and tell was wonderful and they said they had a good time.  Even though
I'm "not into cruising" it's made me stop and think that maybe I should.
After all I live in a suburb of Vancouver so getting here is half the
battle.
Hope your friend gets some encouraging remarks.  But don't come this June.
We are having record dull days and amazing rain.  But the sun will come out
tomorrow.

Howdy!
Rosemary, glad to see your smiling face, again.
As to the cruise, not being fond of large bodies
of water, I don't see a reason to ruin a good quilting
experience by going on a boat.  <g>
But to each,  her own, of course.
What's up over in your part of Texas?
    Don't stay away so long.
