Looking for QS in Freeport, ME

Post by Kath » Wed, 31 May 2000 04:00:00

Going up to Freeport next Saturday to go to the Abercrombie & Fitch
outlet and LL Bean store and since I am driving for about 2 hours one
way I thought I deserve to check out any quilt shops in the area.
Anybody have any recommendations for me?

Quiltmom -

No more road trips for me until July.  And I refuse to go to Freeport in
the summer (tourist season, dontcha know).  So I guess I'll have to let
you and LN go on your own.  But please try to restrain yourselves!  What
would all those tourists think seeing two tall slim blondes in a tiny
sports car with boas flapping in the wind?

Well, it's not exactly across from "cousin Leon's" place -- but it is on the
right hand side,  going into town from the south, at  the traffic light by
the fire/police building - and just next to the button shop.  I have spent
lots  $$ in both places.  The owner of the quilt shop is a wonderful quilter
and really great at helping with colors.  A bit pricey - but well worth it!!

Hafta wait til the kids go back to school (doubt we'll get a trip in before
the end of school this year). I doubt my dh will want to watch the kids
while I go to yet another LQS.

<LOL> If it sounded appetizing enough, I'd leave him with the kids and go,
but after going from shop to shop (including Keepsake) I've come to the
conclusion that they are really very much alike. Of course, road trips can
be fun. <G>

Howdy!
LN, we need to talk.

It doesn't matter if the husband *wants* to
watch the kids; they're his kids, what does it matter? <g>
Btw, fathers do not "babysit."

Now, when you goin' to that QS?

Ragmop---*sighing*--another lesson....
