Mega Help Needed - Images for Applique

Post by Bernadette Noujaim Baldwi » Sun, 10 Mar 2002 01:57:51

I've known for ages, yes yes I know but my sister asked me to make
banners for her wedding - gulp which is on Easter Saturday!!!!!!!  No
panic here at all.

What I need are almost silouette images for large banners, about 2 foot
by 4 foot so the images can almost be kiddie ones.

Anyone help?

I need sailing boats - either standard yatchs or a tall ship would be
nice.
I need mountains, ones with snow on them (we go skiing together)
I need trees or an orchard
And I need the image of a bottle - need I say more - an ***ic bottle
that is.

You can email, fax or post the images to me, kind benificeries might
beneift from a trip I'll be making to Arab Street tomorrow to look for
silks!!!!!!!

Here is a site DH turned me on to.  Don't know if they will have something you
can use or not.

Hullo B.
When I needed some larger than usual items for an applique piece, I
found some small ones and had them enlarged at the photocopiers.  It
doesn't matter if they have to be on several sheets and stuck together,
because you are only using them as templates, right?

You would probably be able to get the first three items you mentioned as
postcards?
As for a bottle, I don't know; but you could surely draw one?  If you
do, draw only one side - let the photocopiers copy that for the second
side.  I always find it almost impossible to draw two sides the same
with things like that.

Good luck!
