Near-miss meet-up

Near-miss meet-up

I work saturdays at one of the LQS's in my area (NW Chicago burbs) & this past
saturday I came home from work, checked email & there was a note from Susan
Laity Price in response to my thanks to Nann for posting about the new Chicago
area shop in Bannockburn.  She was suggesting we try to arrange a meet-up.  In
my response, I mentioned I worked at Prints Charming 2, & she asked if I
remembered the "crazy lady with 2 quilts" who'd been in that day.  Well, of
course, I remembered, because these quilts were gorgeous, & we LOVE show &
tell.  One was for her mother; a "fl***medley" quilt from the "Mostly Scraps"
book we had talked about here, & the other was a batik pinwheel quilt for her
niece that was absolutely breathtaking.  (I can still see that quilt & lust
after it!!!)  We lamented what a shame it was that neither of us knew who the
other one was!!  We are now pondering a Chicago-area meet-up - perhaps in
Barrington??  Any thoughts from the others out there??  My problem is that I
work Saturdays & that will undoubtedly put me out of the running to attend.

We all wear nametags at the store, so if any of the rest of you in my area
happen to stop in on a saturday, please identify yourself!!!

Still shaking her head,
Mary B in Chicagoland

Hey - Maybe hold another Chicago area meetup in Sept of 2003. I'll holler
then next time DH and I make a trip out.  Had a ball last month!
