Quilt stores in Orlando, Florida

DH & I will be in Orlando Feb 28th - Mar 3rd. We will have a rental car.
What stores are MUST see. I don't have a problem driving out of town 1/2
hr - hour so we can sightsee on the way.If there is anyone for a meet up I'd
really like that too. Mar 3rd we will be driving to Tampa. Are there any
stores on the way?
TIA

Just came back from Orlando, lovely LQS on Vine Street 192, called Queen
Ann's Lace. No doubt someone can give you more exact directions, but I can
recommended it wholeheartedly!! Estelle

Just checked out a new shop today in Lakeland.  You will probably be driving on
I-4, and it is just a quick stop south of the highway.
Patchwork Pig
228 East Pine St. Lakeland
Turn south on Hwy 98.  Continue south (road changes to SR37), turn left on
Pine, and the shop is about 2 blocks on the left, right on a corner.  Great
selection of fabrics.
While in Orlando, there are tons of places to visit.  About 40 min north of
downtown, is the town of Mount Dora.  It is a lovely place to spend an
afternoon, full of gift and antique shops as well as lovely restaurants.
Quilts and Other Comforts is also located there, but a bit outside the
"downtown" area.
You will find that not much is 1/2 hour away in Orlando.
Queen Ann's Lace is in Kissimmee, on hwy 192.
If you are staying in the "Disney" area of Orlando/Kissimmee, it isn't too far.
I might be able to meet you in Lakeland, but we are having company then, and I
don't know how busy we'll be.
I am in Zephyrhills, about 20 min north of Lakeland.  DH and I spend the winter
here and the summer in Kingston ON
Susan, from Kingston ON
quilting in Florida (what else?)

Having problems with private replies bouncing sooo... would it be ok for
Lindroos (if she is willing too) to forward your Orlando/Tampa quilt shop
recommendations to me too.
I'll be based in Orlando with DH & DDs (2 of) in early April) and have
finally got DDs interested in quilts.

Karen
