This morning I was finishing getting the latest consignment of spoons
ready to post. A knocking came at the front door.

It was the postman with a large box. Now I was expecting some vitamins
coming but I thought the box over large for that. It was heavy too.

I read the sender. Helen Page. I thought my goodness I did say I would
be interested in one of her first lamp worked beads but it cannot be
this heavy. Then I thought oh no she as parcelled the whole gubbins up
for me to make my own.

But no, you have been at it again with your BFNR or should I say GFNR
goods for no reason.

I read the card and then very quietly shocked I opened all the little
packages. Then I sat down feeling a trifle pale and with a huge lump in
my throat and a few tears trickling down my face.

Later again I went through all the wonderful treasures, marvelling at
them.
Sneaky Sooz you knew very well where the peeps where, and who else knew
I had a love of dogs. How could anyone know that I needed a key holding
board, beautifully hand painted at that.. I have never seen so many
bugle beads in my life. The cute birdy and mushroom and the lovely hand
crafted beads. A dollar note to be preserved for posterity.
There are far too many items for me to list individually. I will arrange
them and take a picture.

Thank you my lovely friends form the bottom of my troublesome heart.
I will sign off with this.

Its not just what you've done for me that makes me love you so.....
It's all the joy of who you are, the friends I have come to know.
Love
Shirley ( sniff)

Awww, you made me blub a little too!

p.s. I have held off on sending you a bead till I can at least get *both*
holes puckered nicely! I got beautiful holes on one but methinks I didn't
clean that rod before I used it, and it also went a bit wonky. Been a bit
cold for lampworking lately but I'm hoping for some warmer days so's I can
feel my fingers while I work!

Gee Shirley..

That's what I get for not reading all the posts I guess.  Somehow I didn't know
about this one. I'm sorry I missed out.

Take care,
Juanita

No the key board holder is from a certain little lady in OZ. She signed
it on the back. DH thinks it is very nice.

This package certainly cheered me up because I have been feeling really
down in the dumps. Not my best time of the year.

Yes it is extremely windy and bitter cold. We have had a few snow
showers today but nothing much. I think it is too cold to snow.
Spent most of the day watching the birds come to feed.

I have started dressing the doll you sent me Susan. Got a flash of
inspiration . Will send you a picture when it is done
Love
Shirley

We haven't had snow here yet, but the wind is making it pretty darn chilly!
Dunno if it's 75mph, we've still got all our fence panels except the one
that blew down last time we had strong winds!
