Has anyone seen or heard anything about these new kits from Acurate
Miniatures? ?If they are anything like the TBM-3 Avenger, I want one!

I saw these at the East Coast Hobbyshow too, they are BEAUTIFUL! There are
going to be 3 versions (at least), the SBD-1 (in USMC prewar 'yellow wing'
markings), a -3 and a -5. These are at least as good as the TBF and to my
eyes, maybe even slightly better! Anybody want a Hasegawa SBD?

After inhaling too many glue and paint fumes after a long session at the
modeling bench, I gazed into one of the runs of paint on the model I had
painted. In it I saw the release of the SBD in about ninety days. I also
saw the release, sometime this year, of a model by AM that has been
unannounced and will be unexpected. The McClarens, too, shall appear on
the shelves before much longer. At about this time the runs of paint
dried and I was no longer able to see what shall come to pass.

Why do I get the feeling that one of the many splits in 1:48 single-engine
prop planes at this year's IPMS/USA Nationals will be "U.S. Navy WWII
Topedo and Dive Bombers?" Oops, forgot... TBFs are "Large Prop" and SBDs
are "Small Prop." Still, wouldn't it be swell to see all that blue and
grey in one place?
