Fine Molds Tie Fighter: Tie interceptor conversion coming soon?

wishful thinking I know...

Anyone know if there is a Tie Interceptor conversion in the works for the new
Fine Molds Tie Fighter? Better yet a Tie bomber?

I've got several copies of the kit in the stash and figure as soon as I
irrevocably cut up the kit parts.. perfect grade conversion parts will be
available.

So before I measure and cut, anyone heard anything?

From the first glances the interceptor looks to be a somewhat do-able
conversion.
Bomber looks to be a bit more work.

I know the kits are somewhat new, but anyone gone there yet?

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, perhaps you've
misunderstood the situation.

Interceptor should be do-able if wing panels
are made available, from FM.
Since AMT/ERTL issued their (very nice, yeah thats right!) 1/48 TIE double kit.
All you needed to do an Interceptor was the wing panels off the lowly snap tite
TIE Interceptor kit. And a little work to make them go on right. TIE bomber is
a horse of another breed, altogether. Saturn V model parts were used to make
the filming miniature and this would require a total supplemental set of molds
from FM.
With the garage kit seen the way it is I am sure that eventually someone will
get around to it. I mean I only waited 20 years for a Galactica Viper***pit
and launch rail! I hope someone eventually does a resin***pit for the
MPC/ERTL regular X-Wing.

Cheers,

I expect Fine molds will get around to it eventually. Since they have the
license for most of the movies, they will probably make all they can.

Don't have the landing gear yet? :)

That would be nice. There is a set from Fusion Models for the A-Wing. It
includes lighting-friendly clear cast***pit and engine inserts. A very
nice set.
