In real life, at least, a 41-48 Chevy windshield visor won't fit a 49-later
car, for two reasons:
#1 In 1949, Chevrolet changed from a "vee" windshield made of flat panes of
glass to a curved windshield (divided 49-51, one-piece thereafter).
#2 1949 being the start of "envelope" or full-width body shells at GM, their
windshields are much wider, by as much as 10-12 inches.
Windshield visors nearly always followed the shape of the windshield area of
the car for which they were made, mounted, of course, with a gap of about 2" to
allow air to pass between the visor and the front of the roof.
