Tamiya Light Blue??

Tamiya Light Blue??

Post by Bruce Robins » Sun, 05 Mar 1995 06:25:25

I purchased Tamiya light blue for the undersides of German
aircraft.  Is it me, or is this stuf green. I compared it to the
RLM colour and it isn't even close. Did I get a bad bottle, or is this
just the way it is?

By the way, it was the acrylic stuff.

Thanks in advance,

Bruce

I used Tamiya Light Blue (XF-23) for the underside of a Hobbycraft
Bf-109G-2 Tropical. The specified color for the aircraft I am
modeling is RLM 76 (Light Blue-Grey). I did notice a very slight
green tint to XF-23 when used alone, but I mixed it with Tamiya
Light Grey (XF-66) and Tamiya White (XF-2) to get the the color I
was after, and the green tint went away. I don't know which RLM
you are modeling, but you may want to give this a try.
