I got this kit when it was issued and was planning to start it, but a friend
of mine said not to as it is a collector`s item. I just want an F-14 of any
particular squadron. Is it a collector`s item? If so about how much is ir
worth? (this is the 1/48 Hasagawa kit)..Tia...Joe

I haven't heard that this kit is particularly rare.  It was one of the first
Hasegawa F-14 releases, if not the first, but I can't imagine why it would
be rarer than any of the later F-14A releases.  However, if there are any
collectors out there who want one, I'll sell mine.  $125  Anyone?

What does "Ack Oop" refer to?  This one's had me getting splinters in my
fingers for awhile now!

It's actually "OOP, ACK, Baby!", a reference to Bill the Cat from the
"Bloom County" comic strip.

It was the only thing Bill the cat could say.
