IPMS/UK Nationals , Going?

Post by DONALD JUN » Fri, 02 Oct 1998 04:00:00

Hi All!
Well we're about 3 weeks away from the UK Nats. I would like to meet as
many of the RMS'rs as possible while we're there. You know to put a face
to the words. Does anyone know of any attempt to get together? I heard
something about Saturday?

All the Best!

don't know about a get together, but I'll be either on Aerobatic Display
Teams SIG or Milton Keynes branch for most of the time.

I'll be there  :o)

Anyone suggest a time and place to meet?

I'm also, hopefully, going to meet up with some of the members of the 1:32
scale aircraft sig, recently formed from members of rms and still at a
developmental stage!

Happy Modelling,

Iain

There has been some discussion of an identifieing mark for
RMSs but I can't remember if anything was agreed upon.
I'll be there, mostly at IPMS Leicestershire's table, but in
the bar as well.  Perhaps we could all meet in the bar at  2.00pm both
days.  You'll spot me easily enough I'll be the one with the armfull of
kits. (LOL)

Why not get them to put out a call on the tannoy for all RMS members to
go to the bar.  We can all wear a red carnation and carry the Times - or
something.

I've got a more apt idea...

If everyone had pagers, we could e-mail everyone on an e-mail to pager
service...  :o)

4pm Saturday sounds good to me - should have finished judging by then  :o)

Apparently, there will be two bars - one for the public and one for IPMS. Is
everyone that is going an IPMS member? If not, the public bar would be best.

I'm really looking forward to the Nationals this year, and really looking
forward to meeting some of you and putting faces to names.

Have fun,

Iain

Hi All!
I suggest we take a look at the agenda for the Nats at the IPMS/UK web
site. Steve 12:00 would be a little tough since there's a Cosford trip
planned to leave at 1:00. But maybe an hour is enough, I have my doubts
though. How do you feel about it? Iain 4:00 seems OK especially for
anyone judging or anyone going to Cosford. I know there's a banquet that
evening also. I know my wife and I are going but, haven't a clue as to
when it starts. I guess I better check the web site myself. I think we
have a concensus that Saturday would be the better day. 4:00 at the
public bar is starting to look pretty good in my humble opinion. That
way maybe the bar won't be as crowded since the public may wish to look
at the models again since the room may be open. Any other suggestions?

All the Best!
