What's the right color I should use on an Argentinian Super Etendard?
Humbrol 125 (FS36118) looks too dark and too grey to me!

Well Horten you have asked the 24 Thousand Dollar question. Which I
myself have asked a few times. And if I could find my Heller kit I would
be able to tell you. That's where I put the answer the last time. Anyway
its a mix of dark blue and gray. If I remember nobody makes a match for
it. You have to mix what looks good to the eye. The problem is some
pictures I've seen look very blue and some a little more gray. I painted
my 1/72 scale Minicraft kit a dark gloss blue. Looks ok compared to some
pictures. Anyway wait a while and Chris who lives in France (and has
helped me) will see this and help us all again. Chris your up.

It's a longshot but you might consider sending an email to Richard Franksn at
SAMI. The January issue of SAMI had an article on the Super Etendard. They
refer to the color as "Standard dark grey/white scheme" without any reference
to paint types. It can take a while to get an answer, but I have always got one
from them. Richard may forward the message to Richard J. Caruana who wrote the
article.
