Conso Trim New England Outlet?

Does anyone know of a shop that has a good supply of trims for cushions -
braids, tassels, etc?  The only thing available locally is JoAnn's, and their
trim falls apart on its own, so it certainly wouldn't stand up to any wear.
Does anyone know the brand name of trim that Michael's carries?  It's an 80
mile one way trip, but might be worth it for a good selection and decent
prices.  Thanks.

About Michaels, a phone call would probably get you the most accurate
information on what that store carries. Not all Michaels stores have the
same variety or selection, and the prices aren'talways the same, either.

A short search on Yahoo, Infoseek, E***, HotBot, or any other search
engine will probably turn up more websites. I'm sure Conso has a
Website.

Unfortunately, Conso doesn't have a WEB site other than something that gives
their latest financial report.

The problem that I have with calling ahead is that I don't know exactly what I
want  until I see it.

Thanks.

There's a shop called Zinmans or Zimmans in Lynn, MA  that has 30,000 sq ft.
showroom for upholstery fabrics and they have an amazing selection of fringes,
trims etc. I hear there's another like it in Springfield, MA.
Good luck

If you are anywhere near Sturbridge Mass, try the Wright Trim company
factory outlet on Route 20.  They also have craft and quilt supplies.

I still remember my mother saving te wrappers from rick-rack and bias
tape so we could send in a dime and get laces and fancy trim scraps for
our doll clothes.

Some of the women from the office go down (200 miles) just to get a
"mystery box" -- full of all sorts of wonderful "stuff" to give to
children they know as well as to get supplies they need

Hope this helps -- Miriam
