Hi RCTNers!
If you're ever in the Reno area, you absolutely MUST go to Stitch In Time!
It is a stitcher's paradise - true Heaven! They feature all kinds of
needlework there - not just cross-stitch.
It's easy to get to. I usually visit that shop at least twice a year and
lose my mind each time. It's all the way down South ***ia street on the
opposite end of "town" (Reno is not a big town) from the ***/tourist area -
probably 7 miles at most. It's in a big strip mall area. If you don't feel
like driving yourself, a cab ride will cost about $10.
I went there the week after Christmas and had a wonderful time. The staff
is so friendly and super helpful. The shop has practically everything and the
prices are competitive. My annual Christmas present to myself is a visit to
this shop where I get to have anything I want. After spending several hundreds
of dollars I left with a BIG bag of books and speciality fibers. Thank GAWD
they were having a sale 'cause I turned into a wild woman! It's hard to buy
books over the Internet or in cataloges 'cause the pictures don't always show
up well enough. Sigh, the needlework shopping is pretty slim in my area.
