Another new magazine on the market

Hi Everyone,

While I was looking for the latest issue of Simply Creative Crochet at Walmarts
this morning I found a premiere issue of Woman's Day Specials Quick & Easy
Knitting & Crocheting.  Yes, I bought both of them and I do like the new quick
and easy one. One ad in there that was interesting was the Fabri-Knit one,
knitting whit strips of pre-cut fabric.

Hugs,

Nora

I bought Simply Creative Crochet this weekend and I was amazed at how
many patterns you get for the price of a magazine.  Nice, modern,
detailed patterns too.  Not just bazaar items and doilies.

Hi Dawn,

In the Knitting & crocheting one for anyone with little ones, they have a scarf
with a puppy or a kitty on the ends, really cute.

Hugs,

I found the new one, too, Nora. I bought it, but haven't really had time to
look closely at it. However, it looks interesting.

Ouch.  I remember my Grandmother suffering through shingles.  She had
them on her face.  At least you're still pretty.  :)

Hi Spampot,

Oh, you poor thing having the shingles, not a nice thing to have, I know from
having a really light case of them once. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Hugs,

Nora

One that isn't out yet, but coming in November is called Knit 1 - from
Vogue Knitting. I saw some of the patterns from this at a show and
they are very lovely. I'm looking forward to this magazine.

Oh, that's the dangerous kind!  When my husband had shingles on his
scalp some years ago, the dr warned us that she would have to
hospitalize him if they got near his eye.

As for my looks, I've got kind of a permanent scowl on at the moment,
which you managed to change to a laugh, so thanks!

Thank you so much, Nora!  Speedy is what I'm hoping for.  But at least I
found I could knit some.

Hi Spampot,

That's good, it will take your mind off of the itching. At least they came out,
my grandfather had internal shingles and they can't do anything for them.

Hugs,

Nora

OMG, how ghastly!  Did he live?

My rash doesn't itch so much as hurt.  It's like a bad sunburn that
keeps getting scratched.  Fortunately I'm only working with soft
hand-processed merino, and some Lion Micro-Spun.

Hi Spampot,

Yes, he lived four years with it. He got them the day my grandmother died and
he had them until he died. They were in his upper right shoulder. Thanks for
asking.

Hugs,

Nora
