Anyone else having problems accessing Quilt Web Site?

Post by Linda Burge » Wed, 03 May 1995 04:00:00

I would like to participate in the Memorial Quilt project for Oklahoma
City Bombing victims and rescue workers.  But so far, I haven't been
able to get into the WWW site.  I'm going to keep trying, and I would
encourage anyone else who has been unsuccessful to try again, too.

I expect the volume of requests is just more than the site can handle.
Also, I believe I saw the information posted on AOL, and so I will be
backdating a little and checking there for details.

Please remember that you can contact the organizers directly.  Contact

I'm sending you the guidelines directly.  (My mailer and my newsreader
don't talk to each other.)

Bonni, and the other kindly folk who wrote me back:

Thanks to all of you.  I figure it is Murphy's Law.  I no sooner had posted
my somewhat frustrated message than I got off, tried again, and Lo and Behold,
I got connected.  Is my face (and that of my Web Browser) red?!?!

(I DID try to follow up with a post letting you all know I had finally gotten
a connection, but THEN, my newsreader refused the post! Aaargh!

Must be time to go stitch quietly in a corner for a while.  Sigh!)

Thanks, all!

Linda
