Me too!  I missed this year's--didn't hear about the ones on my side of
the continent until it was too late to save up for the trip...

Oy! Get outta my face, then! *I'm* a lawful good cleric called Cathbad!
(LOLling, and BGing) I am very fat and have long auburn hair. Or at
least, I did all those years ago... Funny how prophetic that was...

The Ugly Sister was also a lawful good cleric called Benedict - until
the day she picked up a certain jewelled belt and put it on. Suddenly,
she became completely and irreversibly Benedictine! At the very next
stop, we had to wait while she purchased a bra from a haggling gnome!
LOL! Oh! Fond memories!

PS. I haven't grown up yet, and I wish I could find another DM!

Oh, but chaotic evil is such fun to play!!!!!   LOL   You even get to be
good at times!!!!!   Those were some wonderful times, think I still have all
the books around here somewhere!!!!  What I hated was picking up those
objects that totally changed your character.  Usually I managed to get
myself back to my normal chaotic evil self again!!!!  ROFL  This was all
about 11 years ago, oh the memories this brings to the surface!!!!!
Actually, I would be more than willing to play again, I'm back in the same
area of the world where the games were before, now if I can just find my DM,
then all this time without my DD would fly by!!!!!

Did you know that there's a game, playable by one (or perhaps more)
called 'Mines of Moria'? It's an adventure based on the D&D rules and
very similar in many respects. The graphics are not graphics at all, but
rather text characters  used to compile the maps of different levels.
I've played 'Mines' for ages on my Mac, but had forgotten to install it
on the pustular PC until just now. I must get DH to do that for me
today!

I think this URL still works:

http://roguelike-palm.sourceforge.net/kMoria/play.php

You can download a shareware or public domain version of 'Mines of
Moria' from there...

heheheh   you ain't met this evil old DM...I used to make my players really
work for their goodies...never forget the sword that turned half the party
into zombies because of a mis-spoken wish  :)

but they LOVED playing  and now my nephew is begging for me to run a game
for him and his buddies like I used to  :)

So move to Adelaide, Trish.

I know a *great* DM, who doesn't let me get away with *** even if I
*do* sleep with him.  We'd be more than happy to let you join in!

Manth
(aka Xenia the aludemon or Innanna the Trainee Inquisitor
BTW - for those who don't know, sleeping with the DM isn't a m***
issue since I married him almost 9 years ago!)
