Chris,

My vote is for anonimity.  That way, nobody could be (concsiously or
unconsciously) influenced by the name of a friend (or enemy, for that
matter).

I've recieved the first entry in the logo contest. Before I "publish" it, I
have a question. Is this to be anonymous? Majority rules. No flame wars or I
quit. Email or post, I don't care, I'll  post the final results.

I vote for "anonymous" to avoid name-bias.

I, personally, feel that the "designer" deserves recognition for their
work...

I've handled a "Name the Park" contest recently in our Township. What we
did was post the entries anonymously. Once a winner was chosen, we
announced who entered the winning entry.  So I think the best way is just
post the entries without any entrant identification, but keep track of
that off the website.

We need to pick a definite deadline - How About:

1. Submit entry to Chris by October 1, 1996 for posting on the website.
2. Voting until October 15, 1996
3. Announce winner by end of October.

Chris...will this time frame allow enough time for posting on website and
tabulating?
Also, is this enough "design & send to Chris" time?

Anonymous.  Yes.  Label each entry by number.

I agree, however..... after the winner has been selected.  Anonyminity
ensures fairness, IMHO.

After reading these, it hit me that you're talking about the INCOMING
entries...and not the "winning" entry...right?
If so, then I vote that they be kept anonymous.
But what about the winner? Won't that be posted?

I also vote for Anonymous.  Also no one can tease you about not entering
a design either.

Yes I think the way to do it is to post the entries anonymously then when
a winner is picked reveal the winners name then. That seems the most fair
to me.Connie Rogers

Chris,

I tried to get into the web page and was told that you had to belong
to Delphi to get in - True?

I wouldn't think that knowing WHO the owner of the 'Logo' design is
would cause anything but praise & compliments, besides, atleast they
took the time to DESIGN something, I say publish the names & give credit
where credit is due   =)

I am adding my 2 cents. I think we could pick the winnner and THEN
publish all of the names. Just a thought as usual
