I've been reading about all of these little stitching groups all over
the country.  Does anyone know if there's a cross stitching group in the
Houston area?  It's a big city, but I haven't come across many
stitchers.

Well Howdy Marian,  We're here all right!  As a matter of fact, a bunch of
us Houston stitchers are getting together at 3 Stitches in Spring to eat
lunch and then spend a few hours stitching at the store. You are most
welcome to join us.  Give me an email if you're interested and we'll see
about getting you directions.  Diane

Wow!! You're the third person in that group to reply and ask me to join
them.  How can I not come.  My mom and I will both be there.  Joan is
sending me directions I think.  Look forward to seeing you guys on
Saturday.  What time do you get there??

Marian, how wonderful to hear that you will join us.  We get there at
11:30, go get some lunch and come back to the store and spend the next few
hours shopping and mostly stitching and running our mouths.  The last time
we met we closed the place and had a ball.  Looking forward to seeing you
and your mom. Just in case you don't hear from Joann here's the number for
the store (281) 320-0133.  I am lousy with directions.  Diane

Hi!!!
I am from the Houston area, also and am very interested in getting
togehter with local crafters and stitchers.  If it isn't too intrusive, do
you mind adding another to your group????

Michelle,

Of course you're welcome! The more the merrier. That goes for any other
lurking Houstonians as well. To repeat, we're getting together at a shop
called 3 Stitches, 7822 Louetta Rd. (which runs east-west between I-45
North and FM 249 a bit north of FM 1960) at 11:30am tomorrow, Saturday,
Feb. 21. We browse a bit while everyone arrives, go out to lunch, and
return to the shop for stitching and shopping.

Well Anita, the next time we meet will be March 21st.  We get there at
11:30, then leave for lunch around 12:00, come back to the store to shop,
talk and above all spend a few hours stitching together.  But please don't
wait until the 21st to come up and see 3 Stitches, it's a beautiful store.
