No new messages since yesterday.  The computer folks swear I'm still
connected, but...

That's interesting.  I only get a chance to catch up here once a week.
The last two Saturdays, there were only about 200 messages, then 500.
Very light for this newsgroup..... Anyone else noticing this??

.....wishing everyone a cool Yule!

Everyone's out stitching like mad to finish up Christmas, Boxing Day,
Hannuka, and 12th Night (at least) presents :-)

Monique's problem is probably with her newsserver, not her internet
server.  Um.. though you got her post, I still haven't seen it yet on my
server.

I had only a handful of messages on the 21st and 22nd in all my newsgroups.
The tech support people told me maybe folks weren't posting.  Not!  I was
reading deja and knew there were lots of posts.  Today everything is up and
running and it's all there.  For a moment I suspected DH arranged it so I'd
bake cookies instead of RCTN.  : )   Jolene

I've noticed a drop in messages too. You're not the only one. Now I see all of
my posts showing up but for the last 2 or 3 days I've only seen about  40 or 50
messages total.
Maybe all of the servers are going on vacation, too.
Though you may have something there about the cookies.....

Hi Melanie,

I also live in Gainesville. Didn't know anyone else from the group lived  here.
I am getting about the same amount of messages as you are and I am on AOL.  E
Mail me if you get a chance. Barb P

I suspect messages dropped off around the 21st etc...coz a lot of little
kiddies got out of school on the afternoon of the 20th, and took over the
computer from mom/dad..and also the ISP resources were tied up in all the
instant messaging going on.

Just a theory.  My newsserver was off line for about 36 hours during that
time and drove me nuts, as I had just started reading messages here again
after a long absence.

Cheers, Pam T
