OT: Memorial Day Thanks and Appreciation...

Hi Friends,

This year there is a special significance to remembering those who have
given their lives as the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. It
seems like such a long time ago that I wore the uniform of a Marine
(1961-65) and likewise for many others out there. Lots of history has been
written since some of you proudly served. But for others, memories are still
very fresh... pain and hurt is still paramount in your thoughts... and a
dark, suffocating cloud still hovers over you as you think of the loss of
someone special who has departed from this life.

Please let me say "Thank you!" to all of you who have served with
distinction in our armed services! Hats off, and a snappy salute to all you
guys and gals who hold "L-I-B-E-R-T-Y" as something that is near and dear to
you! We all love to see it proclaimed on the coins that we collect, but the
concept of being free from tyranny means so much more! You are to be
commended for your willingness to "stand tall" in filling your area of
assignment. It seems to me that an apropos statement is proclaimed by a $10
cap that I recently bought. Its colors are red, white, and blue, with a
caption across the front that says "These colors don't run."

Warm regards,
Larry

Very well put.  Those who serve sure give more than they get.
