Hi Dan;

My experiance has been that many Franklin Mint items will sell for "spot"
or "melt".  I hate to see this, because so many of them are very nice
items.  But, from a resale point of view, their value is most likely their
weight times .92 (sterling) times spot (about $5.20).  Some collectors
will pay more and I have purchased some sets "on the net" from $5.00 to
$6.00 per once.  If the theme is one that is collected by a special group,
say, a "Disney" theme, then I'd say advertise in a Disney newsgroup etc.
prices could then be MUCH higher.

This is asking for flames but, I have my flame proof pants on so....

Dan, you may get a top price at a garage sale.  Many non collectors see
how beautiful the art bars are and will buy them for a premium.  Others
may know of someone that collects say, flags, or knows of a person that
would like them and would pay a price over spot or at full spot without
any adjustment for shipping or processing or middle man profit.
