Hoard of Roman Coins

It seems everyone is finding hoards of Roman coins by the thousands.
Well, I happened to find some too. Go figure...

I am getting them at $3.00 a pop, uncleaned of course.
Most if not all date around the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D.
If anyone is interested, give me an email and I will see what I can do.

Cool,

I hope you recognize that that price for uncleaned late Roman bronzes
is very high.  I trust you have seen the quality of the pieces before
buying.

At the Chicago International Coin Fair I was given the offer to grab a
handful of CLEANED coins like that at $1.50 per coin.  I declined and
elected to pay $3.00 per coin to pick and choose only what I liked.

I have purchased uncleaned lots like this for $60/100, and the dealer
was making out okay at that.  The Celator has more competitive offers
than that.

Caveat Emptor.
