A local coin collector was taken for $10,000 after
he answered a knock he thought was from a postal
worker, according to police sources.

This is how it went down, police sources told
NBC 10 News.

A woman dressed as a postal employee knocked on
the door of the coin collector's Southwest
Philly home. She told him he had to sign for a
package, said sources.

When the 48-year-old man opened the door of his
home in the 6100 block of Grays Avenue to get the
package, the postal impostor's three partners in
crime put a gun to the man's head.

The 30-year-old female impostor and the three
men went into the house, tied up the homeowner
and his wife with duct tape and a stereo cord.

The fearsome foursome made off with about
10-grand in coins.

Neither of the victims was hurt during the
home invasion.
