Don't know much about them, they are rather low key and don't promote
themselves extensively like PCGC and NGC.

INS Grading Service??

INS sucks "IMHO" (there my butt's covered)  LOL

I didn't think they were still in business anymore.  There grading was so
bad, that they quit.  I have an 1832 Bust half graded AU-50 in their slab.
I puchased from an honest auction house that regraded all they had and I
had to agree with the regrades.  This coin would be a low end XF.  Others
in the auction were grading as low as high-end VFs.

I would not have believed it if I didn't see it for myself.  But it's
true, they couldn't grade coins properly (at least Bust halves).

Check the Greysheet.  They have a chart in there of what percentage of
full market value certain grading companies get on their slabs when sold
to the public.  I can't quote these right now and if someone would like
to, I would appreciate it.
However, I do remember that PCGS is something like 98%, NGC 95%, ANACS
90%, PCI 85%, so on and so on.

Thanks.  I saw some MS65 Morgans graded by INS going for $25 on an auction
and thought I might want to get on the bandwagon but glad I didn't.

Randy Bullis refers to the Greysheet certified coin discounts. PCGS is the
high service at an average 93% of Greysheet, NGC at 90%, PCI(an up and
coming service) at 84%, ANACS at 74%, and to reply to the previous
posting, INS is at a dismal 46%!

Whatever happened to NCI?, that less than wonderful grading service
from Heritage?.  I think they folded up shop a long time ago, I can't
even remember the last time I saw an NCI coin for sale, probably most
of the coins have been removed from the holders and sent to other
grading services.  John S.
