Uh, yeah. But whatta ya mean *tonite*? Isn't it always?

Seriously, though, if you are using AOL's browser (you have my condolences...)
you might want to try toggling back and forth between a 3rd party browser
(Netscape or IE) and AOL's. Some functions of eBay seem to work better for me
with Netscape, some with AOL's stripped down IE-wannabe. Just a thought, I make
no guarnatees...

AOL uses a full fledged version of IE5, its just been customized to look
different.  you can do the same thing with IE5 if you wanted to.

I actually found it was faster using the built in browser rather then the
external IE5.  Can't for the life of me figure out why.  They are identical
except for appearance.

Either way i have been unable to log into my ebay for several hours.  keep
getting error messgaes.

I assume this is true for Windows users. But the browser on AOL 4.0 for Mac is
different from IE 4.5 for Mac. Waaay different.

Sometimes the built-in browser is faster than Netscape (which takes a few
seconds just to launch anyway) for me as well. But the connectability (is that
a word?) is often different and the image quality on AOL's built-in browser
(here again, I'm speaking as a Mac user) is usually *awful*. Worth the extra
few seconds to start Netscape, IMO.

Your AOL browser may be set to use compressed graphics.

On the AOL menu bar click on the "My AOL" icon and select "preferences". Then
select the "www" icon and then "web graphics". If there is a checkmark in the
box preceding "use compressed fraphics" then deselect this....should improve
your graphics markedly.
