The bottom line is to:
1. Create an inventory list.
2. Offer the group to a number of potential buyers and let them compete for
3. Consign the coins at auction or possibly list them yourself on eBay.
The extent of your options will depend on the value of what you have.
I edited a book last year called "The Rare Coin Estate Handbook" that
addresses your situation in depth. It is available through the ANA
(www.money.org) and Heritage Rare Coin Galleries (www.heritagecoin.com) web
sites for a nominal cost (under $15), but if you want to contact me, I'll
send you a complimentary copy.
