Found Collection

I gave a guy i work with a couple of Golden Dollars today and he called me
to ask me if I knew that one of them had errors on it.  I had him bring it
on down to me.

Sure enough, it's struck really weird (to me, the non-error expert).

Rim OK.

LIBERTY is missing entirely.

I've asked him to try to scan it and post a message here with a link to his
website (and the image) when he gets home tonight.

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

This could be the result of filled dies.  When grease or other substances get
stuck into the creveses of the die.  The metal doesn't flow into that part of
the design and that part is not struck.
