This is just a pissing contest. The grower got away with it and is now
trying to run the cops noses in it. Not wise. The cops know that the
grower got away with it and are trying to make his life as difficult
as possible. Not uncommon.

Don't taunt cops. If they want you badly enough, they WILL find a jury
to convict you eventually. Remeber Dr. Kevorkian!

No, but you should see what it does for Ms. Liberty's smile!

Or maybe this is what they mean by mellow toning. :-)

Sounds like he's in some serious pain and this looks like a
miscarriage of justice. I certainly know that substances can be
abused, but I don't see any particular evidence of that here. MS can
cause debilitating pain and there is evidence that *** can help
with such pain. I note that amongst the seized items were other
medications for pain.

If he were manufacturing m-j cigarettes for street sale to kids, I'd
say hit him hard. The fact that has been able to scrape together $240
since 1987 is indicative that he is nt living the life typical of
your average drug lord.

Erin points out,(get this) that the money he wants returned which the
police deny taking is equal to his fine.

If he was in violation of the law, I don't see how it can possibly be
construed as a miscarraige of justice.
I don't care much for speeding tickets myself, but I blame no one but
myself when I get them.
If there were other pain medications seized [presumably also illegally
attained] its hard to believe that a little home grown pot would suceed in
easing the pain where the pills failed.
Also, it doesn't say much for this persons common sense or respect for the
law if he was growing some of these plants right out in the open.

Where in that article did you see that he has been unable to scrape
together $240 since 1987 ?
His sentence for breaking the law of $250 in court costs indicates that he
was not into distribution and that the amount seized was fairly small.
