This coin has caused me many problems, the Obverse of the coin has the
bust of Leopold II, but the reigning monarch of 1866 was Napoleon III,
I have also checked the French Colonial Coins.

So

1) Who knows the price

2) Why the discrepency

Ps

Many Thanks in Advance

Your coin is from Belgium.
Leopold II was king of Belgium.

Value depends on the condition of a coin, i.e. the amount of wear. This
piece may be worth a couple dollars if not too worn and a good deal more if
uncirculated. For pricing, pics and more info you might try a library for a
copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins.
