        Could any of you Indian Head cent experts out there explain the
difference in the Narrow and Broad Bust varieties of the 1860 cent?  Our
the cents after 1860 broad bust or narrow bust.  That's what I'm comparing my
1860 to and I don't see a difference.

                                   Thanks for any help;

Copper nickel Indian Head Cents of 1859 and early 1860 had a pointed bust
and late 1860 to 1864 have a more rounded bust.

I've usually heard the difference described as "pointed bust" and
"rounded bust," or "Type 1" and "Type 2," respectively.

If you have an 1859 cent to compare it to, pointed bust 1860 cents have,
essentially, the "bust of 1859."  Rounded bust (Type 2) 1860 cents have
a bust more like those found from 1861 onward.
