Slightly OT: 11/06: A. Lincoln elected President 150 years ago today

I suppose the election was held today in 1860 and it took at least a
day or two to ascertain the results.  They did have the telegraph to
speed information.

This is the start of a big deal sesquicentennial period for
Springpatch.  Also, I suppose that there will be some new Civil War
related medals and exonumia over the next five years.

And isn't it odd that the new Lincoln dollar must be the production
coin right at the moment of this anniversary???
