Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a rare variety of the 1828 narrow

Not really rare but yes there are two scarce varieties that bring a good
premium, and one less scarce one that is worth looking for.  1828 has 12
varieties only one of which is a small wide date.  The other 11 are
large narrow dates.  The three varieties you want to look for are N-4,
9, and 12

Yes.  There 11 varieties of 1828 narrow date (usually called "large date").  Of
these,  N-9 is scarce, and N-4 and N-12 are rare. The latter two are worth a
few hundred dollars even in Fine (EAC grading, of course).
